Chem - 10/9 - Elements and Ions, Flint Jigsaw (Day 1)

I. You have a lot of data about elements and ions from the activity last class. Using that data, create a basic one page infographic that

• explains what an element is, using two examples.

• explains what an ion is, using two examples.

• explains the difference between an ion with a positive (+) charge and a negative (-) charge, using an example of each.

• Remember, infographics use pictures to help explain content, so you should use appropriate images to support your statements.

• Submit your infographic to Classroom as a pdf or jpeg file.

II. Begin your Flint, MI water research today by reading your assigned article for the 'jigsaw.' Read it through completely. Do not write on the article, as you will turn it back in. Once done, pick up a notes sheet and take notes for your particular article. Next class you will get with your article group to create consensus for all answers before sharing with other groups.
