Dear EES Families,
I can't believe the fall semester is over. How quickly time flies! Although our days and activities have been much different this year than in years past, there are still so many things that are still the same. Seeing your children's smiling faces (eyes) as I greet them each morning, hearing PreK students chatting at lunch, and watching children run and play at recess are all reminders of what a great family our EES community has become. I'm looking forward to the new faces that will be joining us for In Person Learning in January and for the great things 2021will bring. Thank you parents and guardians for your patience and flexibility as our staff navigated new territory alongside your children. We really learned a lot together this semester. I wish you the happiest of holidays and will see you again in the new year.
Sincerely,
Sarah Farias - Your Exceptionally Proud Principal
Bianca Morales
Marisa Miller
Thank you to those of you who were able to attend our first PTA Meeting! If you'd still like to join, it's not too late. Click joinpta.org to officially join our PTA. The dues are $5 and you pay through the website. Make sure to select our school. We need 20 + paid members for our first meeting, so thank you in advance for joining!
Congratulations to Marisa Miller, our new PTA President! Ms. Miller has two children in 2nd grade at EES and one child in 6th grade at EIS. Also, congratulations to Bianca Morales, our new PTA Secretary! Ms. Morales has children in 4th grade, 2nd grade and PreK at EES.
Thanks to both of you, and all of the parents who are members of our PTA. We look forward to growing the organization even larger and continuing to do wonderful work for the students and staff at Elgin Elementary.
If your child is returning to in person learning, they need to bring their charged device, charger, face mask or shield, headphones, and backpack. Students may not share any school supplies, so also send them with their crayons, pencils, and scissors if they have them. That way, they can use them for different activities and for Art class with Ms. Core!
All Elgin ISD campuses and departments require that masks be worn by adults. While our campus is closed to visitors, there are times when you may find yourself in our building. It may be to drop off a tardy child or bring a change of clothes or pick up your child when they become ill. Whatever the reason, if you are on school grounds and must get out of your car, a mask is required. Our scholars are doing a wonderful job following this expectation and we need your support and participation to help keep our school open.
