Officer Nielsen is in his first year as the Safety Council leader. He replaces Office Spivey. Nielsen has been a law enforcement officer for 20 years and seven years as a school resource officer. Prior to that, he worked for Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks as a Game Warden.
