BAND PRACTICE

While the only half the band is able to practice during class because of COVID-scheduled restrictions, all band and color guard members arrived before school started on Thursday, Sept. 3 to practice for their upcoming performance at the football game on Sept. 4. Director Martin Munoz and Assistant Director Zane Boone were in good spirits despite the restrictions that have been put in place due to COVID.

Feb. 3

Forensics medaled four competitors at the Augusta meet on Saturday. Colton Baker was fourth in Informative Speaking; Leenah Al-Turki was sixth in Informative Speaking; Kim Yates was sixth in Oration; Jerica George was seventh in Foreign Extemp Speaking; Trip Baker was first in Poetry and became EHS' first State Qualifier for this season.

Feb. 1

State Debate results are in! Leenah Al-Turki and Isabelle Haahr placed 10th, missing out rounds and medals by a few speaker points. David Staats and Breckin Olson went 3-3, while Jeremiah Kemboi and Logan Foulks went 1-5.

Dec. 9

Congratulations to Hunter Manning, Mason Stringer, and Devin Larson. The three students participated in the annual KTA "Put the Brakes on Fatalities" video contest and were chosen as a top 10 finalist out of over 30 entries.

Dec. 3

Congratulations to Logan Foulkes and Jeremiah Kemboi who competed in their fourth tournament and earned a total win/loss record of 9-9. This brings them to a 50-50 win/loss record and qualifies them for the 2-Speaker State Debate Championship in January.
