FCCLA

FCCLA is a club that allows students to experience leadership and career preparation opportunities in Family and Consumer education.

FCCLA Mission:
~~~~~
To promote personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Science Education. Focusing on the multiple roles of family members, wage earners, and community leaders, members develop skills for life through character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal knowledge, and career preparation.
"This year's biggest focus is going to be serving our community. Although there are a lot of restrictions this year to what we can do, I still believe we can make a big difference. A lot of what I want to do this year is drives; stuff like food, clothing, winter jackets, etc. Things that will benefit low income families and the homeless."
"FCCLA has made such a difference in my life changing it for the better. It's crazy how one day, one little action can open your eyes to the future. If I would not have gone to that informational meeting in August of 2016, I don't know where I would be at today."
What made you interested in joining FCCLA?
"My freshmen year I was looking for a group to fit in with, this is when I discovered FCCLA. FCCLA has changed my life. My freshmen year I wasn't In the best position in life, and FCCLA was found to be my escape in a way. This group is where my love for helping other people and volunteering not really began but more blossomed. Throughout my high school career my FCCLA group has become like a second family to me, If I wasn't at home (or work) I was with my FCCLA family."
What activities do you take part in as a member of FCCLA?
"As a member of FCCLA I mostly take part in volunteer activities. However this is a broad range of things.. Our volunteer activities could be anything from helping out at kids fest, to helping those in need at the Safe House, to doing food drives here at school, and much much more. "
