Katie has been directing EHS musicals and plays for ten years. Past performances include Grease, Beauty and the Beast, High School Musical, and Our Town. Katie is an EHS alum and attended Wichita State University. After graduating, she moved to New York City to pursue a career on Broadway. She was Carlotta in the National Tour and Broadway companies of The Phantom of the Opera. Katie also performed at Carnegie Hall in the concert version of Jerry Springer: The Opera. Last summer, she portrayed Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music. Currently, she performs with MTWICHITA and the Wichita Symphony, while also teaching private voice lessons at her studio in El Dorado.
