Curriculum

KEY ASPECTS

What should students learn? When should they learn it? Why should they learn it? How do learners interact with the world around them? These are some of the questions that direct our learning and curriculum.

Drawing on the legacy of the CMR Group of Institutions and the innovative, immersive methods of school systems worldwide, the curriculum at Ekya Schools is designed to teach children what to learn and, more importantly, how to learn.

The Ekya curriculum is planned using the Understanding by Design (UbD) Framework, where by design, we make ‘understanding’ the key to learning. It is benchmarked with international standards and research-based pedagogy, guiding us to plan meaningful learning experiences focused on conceptual understanding, building skills and aiding students in their metacognitive abilities.

Our curriculum helps students:

Our Schools facilitate a deep love for learning, give children clarity in their conceptual understanding and equip them with real-world skills. We firmly believe in our aim to empower young minds to make a difference in the world.

It reflects a holistic approach to education, acknowledging that learning encompasses various facets beyond traditional subjects. By using the term "learning areas," educators emphasize the interconnectedness of knowledge and the multidimensional nature of learning experiences.
