Co Curricular Programs

While students immerse themselves in acquiring knowledge, we strive to provide a vibrant, nurturing and wholesome student life on campus and beyond.

CCA Initiatives

Student Council

Student leaders are a critical part of our institution. They represent the voice of the student body and serve as role models to their peers and juniors. Every year, the student council is elected at the beginning of the year to be the forerunners for all events conducted on campus. The students get a first hand experience of the election process, the power of each vote and the impact of good leaders. Young leaders are elected on campus through a thorough election process practising democracy, followed by an investitiure ceremony to administer the oath of office to the office bearers (student leaders). The Student Council members are given opportunities to hone their skills through leadership bootcamps and mentorship opportunities. The leadership positions include the Head Girl, Head Boy, Assistant Head Girl, Assistant Head Boy, Cultural, Sports, Club representatives, Captains and Vice Captains of the different Houses.

Clubs

Student Clubs help students gain knowledge, skills and experience in their areas of interest and passion. Student clubs offer limitless opportunities for student leadership and participation beyond classroom setup and academic programmes. They are primarily student-led and goal-oriented while guided by teachers and mentors. Every club has a dedicated objective and time that allows students to identify and nurture their unique talents and learn from their peers. The activities are student-led and culminate in talks, discussions and inter-house competitions. Students can choose from a variety of clubs, such as the Reading club, Photography club, Editorial club, Music club, Dance club, Sports club, and Creative Arts club, to name a few. The students can also join clubs focusing on Sustainable Development Goals such as No Poverty, Gender Equality and many more.

Outbound Learning Program

Our Outbound Learning Program aims to enrich classroom learning through real-life experiences. They also help children evolve into wholesome individuals and acquire leadership skills such as empathy, resourcefulness, and adaptability, which are highly critical in today's ever-evolving world. Students are provided learning opportunities through outbound programs such as stream-specific field trips during academic hours and educational tours during summer and Dussehra breaks. Each trip is age-appropriate, carefully curated and meticulously planned around experiential learning, adventure, sustainability and service themes. These trips allow students to discover themselves, the world around them, and the immense possibilities available to them. In 2022, over 200 students returned from a trek to Kagalahalli with powerful reflections on the value of time, water, exercise and exploring the unknown!

Work Exposure Program

The Work Exposure Programme (WEP) is an opportunity for students to learn about different work areas and develop the understanding required to succeed in those professions. It is a way for students to explore future careers and gain valuable skills and knowledge applicable to all lines of work. The WEP offers students carefully curated opportunities for students to work in a professional setting for 6-8 weeks and gain real-time experience on what it takes to succeed in the workplace. They also learn to take on challenges, meet deadlines and exceed expectations at a young age. The participating organisations are dynamic, have innovative workspaces and are willing to mentor young minds. Students who complete WEP internships gain an edge over others while applying for competitive exams/colleges in the coming years. They also understand nuances of the professional environment, such as teamwork, time management, discipline, decision-making, networking and more. In 2023, students were offered over 130 internship opportunities with leading organisations in Bengaluru.

Service Learning Program

Service learning helps students identify as part of the community and develop civic engagement skills. Apart from the opportunities to work with diverse members of the community and fundraising drives, service learning is a teaching and learning potential that integrates meaningful community service with instruction and a program to teach civic responsibility. In partnership with their teachers, students identify a cause they would like to focus on. They then plan and execute meaningful activities over the year, such as volunteering with NGOs, fundraising and awareness campaigns that help further the cause. Students develop strong skills and mindsets such as empathy, kindness, growth mindset and adaptability through SLP.

Campus Events

Throughout the year, the students enjoy a diverse and engaging experience which includes inter-house competitions, Expert Talks, University orientation sessions, Annual Day, sports events, Model United Nation, and a unique Marquee event specific to each campus. Every event allows students to discover a world beyond borders and discover their potential.

Student Wellbeing

In an ever-changing unpredictable world, we prioritise student wellbeing by focusing on student's overall social, emotional, and ethical development through awareness programs, counselling sessions, and workshops. We aim to provide a nurturing environment where students can thrive, share their experiences, and uncover their potential.
