This section helps you identify and resolve common issues you may encounter while using Effect Alpha.
Because Alpha is a pre-release environment, some behaviors may be temporary or related to active testing. Each section below addresses one specific issue and provides steps you can follow immediately.
Your dashboard shows no available tasks.
Tasks appear briefly and then disappear.
You are logged in but cannot begin work.
Effect Alpha uses dynamic task routing rather than a static task list. Tasks are distributed based on:
Worker capabilities
Availability
Testing phases
Real-time system conditions
It is normal for tasks to fluctuate.
Confirm you are connected to a manager node.
Check Discord announcements for testing pauses.
Wait. The manager node will route tasks to connected workers, so depending on where you are in the queue, it might be at least 20 minutes or more before tasks are routed to you. Disconnecting and reconnecting to the manager node resets your place in line.
Not seeing tasks usually does not indicate an account problem.
The claim button is disabled.
Claim attempts fail or do not complete.
Claiming temporarily paused during Alpha updates.
Insufficient SOL balance in your worker wallet.
Confirm your wallet has a small amount of SOL.
Refresh and retry.
Check announcements for claim system status.
Earned EFFECT not visible.
Task history appears reset.
Switching devices or browsers.
Clearing cache or cookies.
Platform updates or resets.
Log in using your original device and browser.
Use the same login provider.
Check Discord for update notices.
During Alpha, your profile is tied to your browser environment.
Performance score drops suddenly.
Performance score reflects participation patterns.
Score may decrease if:
Tasks expire while assigned to you.
You remain connected but inactive. (example: not disconnecting from the manager node when done working)
Accept tasks only when ready.
Reject tasks you cannot complete.
Disconnect from the manager node when you are done working on tasks.
Microphone not detected.
Poor audio quality.
Check browser microphone permissions.
Test microphone settings.
Record in a quieter environment.
Refresh and retry.
Submit button unavailable.
Submission fails.
Ensure all required fields are completed.
Review formatting rules.
Check your network connectivity and stability.
Claimable EFFECT balance appears missing or reset.
Previously earned rewards are no longer available to claim.
The claim section shows zero balance unexpectedly.
Claim attempts fail or do not complete.
During Effect Alpha, unclaimed rewards are stored locally within your active browser environment until they are claimed on-chain. Because of this, certain actions or conditions may affect claimable balances:
Browser cache or local storage was cleared.
Cookies or site data were removed.
You logged in using a different device or browser.
Privacy or cleanup extensions removed stored data.
Platform updates or resets during Alpha testing.
Your worker wallet does not have enough SOL to cover transaction fees required for claiming.
If local storage is removed before claiming, unclaimed EFFECT cannot be recovered.
Log in using the same device and browser where you originally completed tasks.
Confirm you are using the same login provider.
Check your worker wallet and ensure it contains a small amount of SOL for transaction fees.
Add SOL to your worker wallet if needed, then try claiming again.
Check Discord announcements for any system updates or resets.
Always claim your earned EFFECT before:
Switching devices or browsers
Clearing cache or cookies
Using incognito or private browsing modes
Running browser cleanup tools
Ending your working session.
During Alpha, your browser environment is part of your working setup, and local data is required for accessing unclaimed rewards.
During Alpha, some data and rewards are stored locally in your browser until claimed.
To avoid permanent loss:
Use one device and one browser consistently.
Claim earned EFFECT regularly.
Do not clear the browser cache or cookies before claiming.
Avoid incognito or private browsing sessions for active work.
Ensure your worker wallet contains enough SOL to complete claim transactions.
Unclaimed rewards may be permanently lost if local browser data is removed or if you switch environments before claiming.
