Welcome to the Effect Alpha learning path.
This section is designed to help you understand how the platform works before diving into detailed instructions. If you’re new, start here. If you already have experience, this section helps clarify how Alpha behaves and why certain workflows feel different from traditional task platforms.
You don’t need to read everything at once. Move through each module at your own pace.
Effect Alpha is a microtasking environment where human workers and AI workflows collaborate to create and validate datasets.
Unlike traditional marketplaces that show a static list of jobs, Effect Alpha routes tasks dynamically based on capabilities, availability, and testing needs. This allows work to be matched more intelligently but can feel unfamiliar at first.
During Alpha, the platform is actively evolving. Features may change, new workflows may appear without warning, and availability may fluctuate as experiments run.
Your participation helps refine how decentralized human-AI collaboration works.
Effect Alpha is built around collaboration between humans and AI systems.
Human workers contribute:
Language understanding
judgment and nuance
validation and interpretation
AI Workers contribute:
automation
structured processing
large-scale coordination
Tasks often sit at the intersection of both. Your work helps bridge the gap between machine outputs and human quality.
Alpha is a testing phase, not a finished product.
You may experience:
changing instructions
evolving workflows
fluctuating task availability
experimental features
This is intentional. Alpha allows the team to observe real behavior and improve systems before broader release.
Tasks are not posted as permanent listings. Instead, they are routed dynamically.
This means:
tasks may appear briefly
tasks may disappear quickly
availability may change frequently
The system matches work to workers based on capabilities and real-time conditions.
If you do not see tasks, it does not necessarily indicate a problem.
Manager nodes coordinate how tasks are distributed.
When you connect to a manager node:
you become eligible to receive routed tasks
your availability is tracked
workflows can assign tasks to you in real time
Without connecting, tasks cannot be delivered.
Capabilities determine which tasks you are eligible to receive.
Rather than showing every task to everyone, the system organizes workers into pools based on skills and participation history.
Capabilities may:
unlock by completing capability tasks
change during testing phases
vary across workflows
may be awarded for special purposes by the team
This helps ensure work is matched appropriately.
Previewing allows you to review instructions before accepting work.
Experienced workers preview every task because:
instructions may change between versions
some workflows have strict formatting rules
previewing reduces mistakes
Rejecting after previewing is normal.
Effect Alpha prioritizes careful work.
Successful habits include:
reading instructions fully
using help guides when available
reviewing submissions before sending
Speed improves naturally as familiarity grows.
Many tasks are reviewed after submission.
Validation helps ensure:
consistent data quality
fairness across contributors
reliable outputs for downstream use
A rejected task is not necessarily a failure. It may reflect evolving standards or workflow adjustments.
EFFECT tokens are earned through validated task completion.
Rewards may not appear immediately because:
some workflows require review
validation timing varies
This is expected during Alpha.
A Solana-based worker wallet is created automatically when your account is set up.
Important points:
you fully control the wallet
only you can see the private key
Effect AI cannot recover lost keys
Backing up your private key is strongly recommended.
Claiming transfers earned EFFECT into your wallet.
Before claiming:
add a small amount of SOL to your worker wallet
SOL covers network transaction fees
Claim regularly to avoid issues with locally stored balances.
Still have questions? Visit the Rewards & Wallet guide.
Some platform behaviors are intentional:
tasks appearing and disappearing
changing availability
frequent updates
These reflect live testing.
Experienced contributors tend to:
review task instructions consistently
review help guides before starting
claim rewards frequently
stay informed via Discord announcements
These habits reduce friction and improve the overall experience.
