Successfully completing this assessment may unlock access to validation workflows where you evaluate whether contributed sentences meet quality, usability, and policy standards.

This test evaluates your ability to assess whether contributed sentences are suitable for inclusion in a speech dataset.

Language consistency and locale accuracy

Validators help maintain dataset quality by ensuring submissions meet established standards.
IMPORTANT: This assessment is not meant to be difficult or trick you.
Its purpose is to confirm that validators understand how to recognize high-quality contributions and identify issues that could reduce dataset usefulness or safety.

The assessment consists of 30 total questions.
Estimated duration: 10–15 minutes.
Questions focus on realistic validation scenarios and quality judgments.

If time runs out, your current answer will be automatically submitted.
The assessment advances to the next question.
Once a question is submitted, you cannot return to it.
Previous answers cannot be changed.
To pass the assessment:
You must score at least 80% (24 out of 30 correct answers).
You have 3 total attempts for this assessment.
Important:
Starting the test counts as one attempt.
Interrupted sessions still count toward attempt limits.
Additional attempts are not available once all attempts are used. The Effect AI Team cannot reset your attempts.

After completion:

The Common Voice Validator capability may be granted.
Validation workflows may become available.
Validator tasks involve additional responsibility, as your decisions help maintain dataset quality.
After unlocking:
Return to your dashboard.
Check for newly available validation workflows.
Once the assessment is completed:
Your score is calculated.
Eligible capabilities can be claimed.
Access updates may appear shortly afterward.
