This week we've been thinking about fireworks! We worked hard to think of interesting vocabulary to describe the way fireworks look, sound and move - and we've even added some similes! Then we used our wonderful words to create firework poems. Take a look at some of our super work!
We've had a lovely time making firework pictures by cutting out black building silhouettes and drawing firework shapes in bright oil pastels.
We've also printed some of our firework shapes using twisted pipe cleaners dipped in paint.
We've been learning about our five senses this week. We were very brave and did a blind 'taste test' of different foods. We've also explored our sense of hearing, smell and touch.
Making Diwali paper chains and bunting ready to decorate our classroom tomorrow.
The children have all had such a wonderful time learning about Diwali.
Over the past few weeks we have written about the fun festival and have designed and made our very own diva lamps. We've made Diwali cards, put on puppet shows and created beautiful mehndi and rangoli patterns. After making decorations, we enjoyed a huge Diwali party on Friday to celebrate!

We all enjoyed taking part in our Christmas themed Yoga today. We learned lots of moves to the 1'2 days of Christmas' and then took a little time out to be mindful and experience some relaxation techniques.
