2.05 - Coding Basics
Coding is quickly becoming a key part of everyday working life as our systems become more and more automated.
This module will require students to be able to speak in the language of code. After completing the activity they will be able to define the following:
Basics of Control Flow such as Repeat commands as well as IF and WHILE statements and how they work.
Basic boolean operators such as AND, OR, and NOT
Variables and how to use them.
How a For command works.
Functions and how to use them to make complex code easy.
To do this you may do one of two things:
Complete the CODE.org 20-Hour Accelerated Introduction to Computer Science Course ignoring the unplugged activities.
Copy proof of completion of Computer Science - Intro into your ePortfolio
This could include a printout or photo of your CS - Intro Report Card mark.
When you have finished Code.org, please post the certificate you get at the end into your ePortfolio
