2.03 - Breadboarding circuits
In the electronics version of Hello World we will be hooking our led up to a breadboard (real or digital).
Reading Resistors
Assignment - Reading Resistor Colour Code
Reading Resistor Colour Codes (please copy questions and answers into your ePortfolio)
Breadboarding activities
Throughout this module we will be creating breadboard circuits. You will receive a tutorial in class and then should "share" your schematics into your ePortfolio's Module 3 folder.
Arduino Kit Breadboard
When creating breadboard circuits you may also create them on your physical breadboard and submit them as a phone picture. That picture should have your school ID (or face) in the picture to prove that it is your board.
To demonstrate what you've already learned please hook up the following circuits:
A basic LED circuit
One led
One resistor (choose the resistance value to get around 25mA in the circuit)
A 9V battery
A pushbutton LED circuit
One pushbutton
One LED
Resistors
A 9V battery
An LED dimmer circuit
One led
One potentiometer
resistors
A 9V battery
An RGB LED Circuit
One RGB LED
Three pushbuttons or slide switches(to control the three colours)
Resistors
A 9V battery
An RGB LED Dimmer Circuit
One RGB LED
Three pushbuttons or slide switches(to control the three colours)
One potentiometer to dim the whole circuit.
Resistors
A 9V battery
Once you are done, remember to post pictures of your circuits in your ePortfolio (physical pictures or TinkerCad .png files).
