All teachers are required to assess, provide feedback and report on student learning in a timely manner. Formal reporting should only be delivered through the College approved format - Compass learning tasks, Progress reporting and Semester reporting.
Teachers granted a period of leave during a reporting cycle are required to ensure they have recorded accurate and up-to-date assessment results for all completed CATs, SACs, SATs and the 5P Learning behaviours prior to their leave commencing. CAT, SAC and SAT results should be recorded on Compass and 5P Learning behaviour results supplied to the teacher covering the absence as well as the reports organisational manager.

Data plays a fundamental role in guiding the College’s instructional practice and accurately assessing student outcomes, as we strive for high quality education. Teachers are required to develop a manageable system of record-keeping that captures both formative and summative assessment results.
Triangulation of data involves the process of analysing multiple sources of assessment data to provide a comprehensive understanding of a student's level of achievement. For example, multiple data sources may include observation of understanding demonstrated in class, PAT data, and a CAT assessment task graded against a marking schema.
Teachers are expected to use a variety of data sources to inform their teacher judgements against the F-10 Victorian Curriculum standards. The Edapt platform provides staff with access to a range of data collected across the College, this assists teachers to make comparison of their teacher judgement, standardised testing results including NAPLAN, PAT and OnDemand, student learning behaviours, attendance, and students growth data (based on standardised testing). Data is regularly updated in the system making Edapt an excellent tool to assist teachers with triangulating assessment data before the reporting cycle.
