Semester examinations play a pivotal role in shaping our educational environment, where we hold high academic expectations and build students' learning stamina. These exams serve as more than just a measure of grades; they are a crucial stepping stone in preparing students for future high-stake assessments, such as NAPLAN, select entry, VCE and university entrance examinations. Additionally, exam results go beyond the numbers; they provide a meaningful reflection of a student's current capabilities and academic growth, offering valuable insights into their progress and areas of focus.

At Keysborough College, our approach to exam development is founded on collaboration and equity. With a mandate for collaborative input from both campuses, we ensure that every exam reflects a collective understanding and consideration of diverse perspectives.
Mark allocation within exams is carefully structured to provide a comprehensive assessment of student comprehension, fostering an environment where every student can demonstrate their understanding effectively.
By incorporating VCAA command terminology, we maintain consistency across all subjects and year levels, facilitating clarity and coherence in assessment practices. This commitment to collaborative development and standardized terminology underscores our dedication to academic excellence and fairness in evaluation processes.
Examination development principles:
Same exam across the College for each subject/year level
Exam uses VCAA command terminology

All exams must include a KSC Examination front page
