Assessment schedules

Assessment schedules provide an overview of the key assessment tasks for each year level. Common Assessment Tasks (CAT), School Assessed Coursework (SAC) and School Assessed Tasks (SAT) provide key assessments that will be used in Semester reporting to assess each students academic achievement and progress.

Target dates for CAT, SAC and SAT assessments are made available to parents/carers and students at the start of each Semester via Compass.  Classroom teachers will clearly explain assessment schedules and due dates, to assist students with managing their workload. Where students are unavoidably unable to meet set deadlines, they will be required to apply for an extension prior to the due date. This can be done by discussing the circumstances for the extension with their classroom teacher and Teacher Team Leader. It is an expectation that teachers are continuously assessing student learning behaviours and academic progress, which will be communicated to parents/carers and students via Compass learning tasks and Progress/Semester reporting.
