- New in 2021 is our subscription to Audiobooks from Wheelers.
- Listening to books is immersive, requires imagination and cognitive functions that are very similar to reading.
- Many of the benefits of reading hard copy books are possible with audiobooks.
- Audiobooks are an excellent way to differentiate learning and cater for different learning styles.
- We hope that students will listen to audiobooks as an alternative or companion to reading a hard copy book.

We subscribe to receive new release Australian Young Adult novels for secondary students.
These books are very popular with confident readers and are well suited to stretch the capabilities and cater to the interests of high school students.
CBCA winners are usually included as the books are reviewed and selected for their literary quality as well as their appeal to adolescents.
The Australian perspective is a feature. We believe our students deserve the best of what is produced nationally so that they can more readily identify with the characters and support our book industry.
Contemporary realistic fiction is a very popular genre in ASO which allows students to explore some of the social issues and concerns of contemporary society in a safe and private way.
Other genres are also included and we find that many students who may have lost interest in reading, find their way again through the ASO novels on offer.
