Mrs Stiles
Mrs Stiles - Teacher-Librarian
I enjoy talking to students about themselves; what they are learning, their interests and future plans, and of course, what they enjoy reading. I am passionate about increasing access to quality resources and learning experiences for our learning community. My teaching specialty is information literacy, (especially navigation and use of digital information) but I’m also a fan of good manners and encouraging kindness.

I enjoy my two days per week. I assist students to locate resources whether for schoolwork or for reading for pleasure. I like seeing the space used as a quiet and safe place at recess and lunch. I enjoy the administration of the Resource Centre (managing the collection via budgeting and purchasing, stocktaking and weeding). Working with some dedicated Distance Education students (as their supervisor) is also a pleasure.

I am happy when students feel comfortable to ask me for any help. The Resource Centre is a safe environment for students and we welcome them. My job includes issuing books, textbooks and laptops and accessioning and preparation of books ready for students to borrow. The Resource Centre staff work in a happy, friendly place within the school and find that students respond respectfully. I enjoy seeing special presentations that use both interactive whiteboards or when teachers use the space to move students around different activities. They have so much fun and are so engaged.
Mrs Dodds
Mrs Dodds - School Administration Officer
My main role at THS is to provide communication to our parents/carers and our local community. I share all our great stories and news on our Facebook Page, Skoolbag App, school website, newsletters, THS Radio News and articles in our local newspaper. I love my job and seeing first hand the great opportunities all our students have on offer. I also enjoy catching up with the students when handing out the laptops and supporting them in organising student-driven events. Sometimes I remember to borrow a book to read from our great collection in the Resource Centre!
Speaking to us in person is always preferred, but if you are unable, you can email Mrs Stiles at yvette.stiles5@det.nsw.edu.au.
