In Term 4, students who did not complete Green Screen videos in Term 3, used their Technology Time to create videos in small groups reading different Reader's Theatre scripts. The students practiced their scripts during their literacy groups in class and were very excited to read their scripts in front of the camera. The students learnt about all the different recording tools in our Darcy Road Public School Green Screen Kits and they also discovered how to set up a tripod and iPad mount. Once the students were comfortable with the equipment, they stood in front of the green material in small groups and recorded their videos.

Once all the videos were recorded, students worked in small groups to edit their videos. They uploaded the videos into the DoInk Green Screen app on the iPads and they were able to use the Chroma Key function to remove the green background from the video. They then searched the internet for an appropriate image and then inserted this picture into the background of their video. Some students were also able to add music and text elements to their video.

To finish up the term, students completed a Christmas maze activity using the Ozobots. Students were required to draw the correct code so that the Ozobot would move along the path in the appropriate direction so that Santa could get to the chimney.
