Ethical Use of Artificial Intelligence

This page is currently under construction and it is hoped that we will have a more comprehensive student guide to ethically using generative artificial intelligence (AI) soon.

In the meantime, if you are incorporating ideas from other people, or ideas produced by technology (including generative artificial intelligence) in your assessment tasks, the principles of Academic Integrity apply and as directed in your assessment task, or if not stated then as appropriate to your Year level, you should cite and incorporate a reference list within your assessment task to acknowledge the ideas from other people (or technologies) in your task.

Always talk to your teacher before using generative AI for any learning tasks, including anything from its use for classwork, homework or assessment tasks -always seek permission first.
