Firstly, a huge thank you for all of our families, friends and carers who helped us celebrate Education Week last week. The Choral Festival started the main events on Wednesday and both our junior and senior choirs performed well. Our students really enjoyed the experience. Another highlight was the open afternoon and BBQ on Thursday. It was great to have so many visitors in our school and we even featured in the Barrier Truth. A special thank you to Mrs Weatherall who organised the events for the week.

Congratulations to our students who also participated in the Broken Hill Athletics Carnivals for track and field. We showed excellent sportsmanship and effort in all events. Bridie, Darcy and Gian all qualified for the finals in their events. 

Healthy Harold visits our school this week. His van will be parked by the hall from Wednesday. Families and carers were sent home notes last week informing you of the programs that Life Education runs. 

Next week we celebrate Book Week. Our annual book parade will take place Friday morning. Information has been sent home today. We are looking forward to seeing the costumes and Mr and Mrs Chapman have some exciting activities planned in library lessons. 

A draft itinerary and packing list will be sent home tomorrow with students attending the Stage 3 excursion. We are still experiencing a number of delays from our booking agent, however, we are inviting all of these students and families to attend an information session at 5pm next Wednesday (Aug 16) in the library.
