Term 2 Week 6

Tuesday 30 May 2023

From The Principal

Welcome to Week 6!

Firstly congratulations to AJ Killeen for his participation in the Barrier Cross Country Carnival last Thursday. AJ placed 18th and enjoyed attending a bigger carnival.

Thank you for your continued support in helping to keep our students, staff and community safe while COVID-19 is still circulating in the community. With winter approaching, we will also see an increase in coughs and colds. We are trying to minimise the risk of transmitting an illness by staying home and testing for COVID-19 if showing any symptoms. Thank you to all the families for calling or sending teachers a Dojo message to let us know.

Sadly, Mrs McInerney has had to remain on sick leave for the remainder of this term. 5/6M will be taught by Miss Lynch and Mr Chapman.

We have noticed that Wills Lane is becoming very busy in the afternoon for school pick up. We now have three buses that pick up from this gate and require the room to do so. We are encouraging families to collect their children from the Harris St or Wills St gate as there is more room.

We have a number of events coming up including the Athletics Carnival next Tuesday with Broken Hill Public School. Notes have been sent home and parents and families are welcome to come and watch.
