Term 1 Week 8

Tuesday 14 March 2023

From the Principal

Welcome to Week 8!

Firstly a congratulations to Ayrton Smith who competed at the Broken Hill and Barrier Swimming Carnival last Wednesday. Ayrton had a great swim and placed second and third in his races.

Major excursion notes were sent home yesterday. Stage 3 will be visiting Canberra in Term 3 and Stage 2 will be going to Woodhouse in the Adelaide Hills in Term 4. We are asking parents to return the note to indicate if your child will be attending to help us with planning for these two events. We understand that these excursions are very expensive and if you have any concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

We are now on the recovery of Covid and I would like to clarify that parents, carers and families are more than welcome to attend all school events and assemblies. Information is sent out about our special events through notes home, Class Dojo, Facebook and our newsletter. It is great to see parents and families in our school again!

Just another reminder that to all of our families, that supervision does not begin at school until 8:35am. Students should not be left at school before this time as there are no adults around in the playground.

The term is flying by, especially as we head into the last three weeks of the school term. The last day of Term 1 will be Thursday 6 April
