School Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships

Are available to all Year 11 and 12 high school students in NSW. They allow students to commence an apprenticeship or complete a traineeship while at school. School Based Apprenticeships or Traineeships (SBATs) provide students with paid work experience and a qualification whilst completing their HSC.

Students who successfully complete an SBAT will receive:

• A nationally recognised qualification

• A Certificate of Proficiency from Training Services NSW

• Unit credit toward their HSC
