Business Studies investigates the role, operation and management of businesses within our society. Factors in the establishment, operation and management of a small business are integral to this course. Students learn about factors critical to success and failure of small business and learning basic business accounting. Students develop research and independent learning skills in addition to analytical and problem solving competencies through their studies.

Must have satisfactorily completed Year 11 Business Studies
Coursework
Complete all set tasks including note making, completing set reading, participation in group work and analysis of case studies. Organise and complete notes and revision summaries, use evidence and complete business research and analysis. Use and complete practise past papers, structured answers and essays.
Suitable Candidates
Students who are interested in economics, commerce, or working in business areas or possibly owning their own business in the future. This is a challenging course and includes some mathematics.
