Developed in partnership with local land services, environmental scientists, education specialists and teachers, the Hunter River Health Check initiative integrates scientific research, cultural wisdom, and innovative problem-solving strategies.
Tailored for upper primary students, this program emphasises the importance of river health and ecosystem preservation. Each lesson engages students in hands-on STEM activities that foster real-world skills. The initiative empowers students to address environmental challenges, enhance resilience, and contribute positively to their local communities and the health of the Hunter River.
