Participate in a citizen-science project alongside schools along the beautiful Hunter River in September 2025! The Hunter River Health Check (HRHC) is returning for its third edition, and we invite you to be part of this exciting initiative. The project aims to:

•  Identify and monitor health markers of the Hunter River.

•  Understand challenges & solutions to the Hunter River’s ecosystem.

•  Recognise the risk facing threatened flora & fauna connected to the Hunter River.

•  Appreciate & acknowledge the connections Indigenous people have with the Hunter River.

• Investigate the social & economic importance of the Hunter River to our communities.
