In Term 3, Year 7 will be participating in the Bullying No Way National Week of Action from the 11th - 15th of August.Â
This year's theme is: Be bold. Be kind. Speak up.Â
Students will participate in a range of activities to raise awareness amongst both their year group and the school during the week of action, such as:
Bake Sale to raise money for Beyond BlueÂ
Speeches on assembly about current and emerging issues with Bullying
Creation of a Year 7 Cohort Video interviewing students on their experiences with bullying
Anti Bullying Activities / mini lessons during STAR for the week
Early in Term 1, Year 7 participate in a three day camp to foster new relationships, build self confidence and promote teamwork amongst their new school cohort.
The Y NSW has been creating memories through outdoor education programs and camps for children, young people and community groups since 1937.
Located on the heritage listed Grose River in the beautiful Hawkesbury Valley, set on 35 acres of natural bushland, Camp Yarramundi offers a range of adventure activities, including a high ropes adventure course, giant swing, flying fox, team building and artificial caving!Â
The Big Fish into Little Fish presentation will ease Year 7’s transition into high school, build rapport among the year group and enhance self-esteem and resilience.
Students will:
Participate in activities that facilitate an agreement to minimise the groups fears and maximise their collective hopes and dreams.
Develop empowering self-identity beliefs. This lays the foundation to resilience and self-worth.
Discover ways to engage new friends and devlop cohesion among the year group.
During Term 4, students that meet our Rewards Day Criteria may be eligible to attend a full day excursion to Taronga Zoo. In order to qualify for the Year 7 Rewards Day, students have to ensure they do not have any of the following in 2025:
Incomplete after school detentions
More than 5 after school detentions
(this includes sport, lateness & uniform)
Below 85% attendanceÂ
2 suspensions or 1 suspension and more than 5 after school detentions  Â
More than 5 Parent Advice Letters (PALs)Â
Been suspended once for a matter involving drugs, vaping, alcohol, prohibited weapons or criminal behaviour connected with the school
