Culture of Kindness

Do it For Dolly Day

Dolly’s Dream was created by Kate and Tick Everett following the shattering loss of their 14-year-old daughter, Dolly, to suicide, after ongoing bullying in 2018. Kate and Tick’s goal is to prevent other families walking this road. They want to change the culture of bullying by addressing the impact of bullying, anxiety, depression and youth suicide, through education and direct support to young people and families.

As part of their Culture of Kindness Initiative, Year 12 host an annual Colour Walk in honour of Dolly's Dream. Students from across the school are encouraged to participate as they unite under the banner of kindness and strive to put an end to bullying.

Wellbeing Initiatives

Getting Your Head Right for the HSC

This session helps prepare Year 12 students for the HSC with wellbeing and mindset strategies to support them in achieving their best.

This program aims to:

Boost wellbeing with practical and simple strategies
Identify ways students can sustain motivation for study and achievement of goals
Promote resilience: How to get mentally & emotionally strong to deal with disappointments and setbacks
Break through procrastination
Manage parental and societal pressures and ways to deal with feelings of stress and exam anxiety

20 Wednesday HSC Trials commences (Week 5)

SEPTEMBER

5 Friday HSC Trials finish (Week 7) Normal lessons continue until end of term

12 Friday Payment for Celebration Evening due. Student and family member numbers required for catering purposes.

24 Wednesday Last day of normal lessons

25 Thursday Year 12 Breakfast Excursion

26 Friday Year 12 Graduation Ceremony – 12:00pm for a 12:15pm start.

Year 12 Celebration Evening – 6:00pm at Doltone House, Sylvania.

30 Tuesday UAC Applications close – this is done Online

OCTOBER

14 Tuesday Term 4 commences – Yr 12 teachers available for you to come and see during normal class time Tuesday and Wednesday.

16 Thursday HSC Examination commences (know your timetable). Full school uniform to be worn

NOVEMBER

7 Friday HSC Examinations conclude

DECEMBER

18 Thursday HSC results available on Internet, SMS or telephone - NESA from 6am

18 Thursday ATAR results available on Internet, SMS or telephone - UAC from 9am

18 Thursday ATAR BBQ – At Cronulla High School from 10:30am
