Ours to Share, 2022 Connections Showcase

Gulgong High School

Gulgong High School is located in Gulgong in Western NSW on traditional Wiradjuri land.

Hands of Friendship

The students from Gulgong High School created and designed a number of 2D mixed media and 3D sculptures around the theme 'Hands of Friendship'.

Students enjoyed photocopying their hands to incorporate a piece of self as an outward and visual representation of the emotional connection of a cohort coming together in solidarity.

In order to metaphorically link our unified friendships, students designed and made a paper patch quilt from all their hands that intertwine their being.

An artwork depicting two hands reaching out to one and other on a painted background.
