Term 4 Update
General House Keeping
Presenter: Paul Wilson (HT Teaching & Learning / TAS Teacher)
Venue: Hall
We often hear that education is changing, and it has been, bit by bit, for years. But with AI now part of the mix, new syllabuses rolling out, and student needs shifting, it feels like the pace really is different this time around.
This session gives us a chance to step back and think about what’s coming in the not so distant future. Together we’ll look at some of the trends likely to shape schools by 2030, the implications and what that might mean for our students as well as ourselves as teachers.

This session provides staff with the opportunity to review and update their professional learning records in eTAMS in readiness for 2026. With over 50 hours of school-based PL delivered across 2025, this session is designed to make it easy for all staff to log their learning consistently and accurately. Staff will be provided with a summary of the year’s PL (including titles, standards, etc) and guided through the process of updating their accreditation records. By the end of the session, all staff will be on track to meet their NESA accreditation requirements with confidence ready for the coming year.
Staff will have the choice to stay in the hall or move back to their staffrooms.
PLEASE NOTE: Staff will need to bring along a fully charged laptop for this hands-on session - A PHONE IS NOT SUITABLE!

This Faculty Planning & Organisation session provides staff with time to engage in teacher-directed activities, either individually or collaboratively within their faculty. This includes professional learning (PL), planning for the term ahead, and organising teaching resources. Time has been allocated to support faculty-based preparation and professional learning, allowing faculties the flexibility to choose how they best approach their planning and preparation for Term 4.
Our P&C has kindly arranged for a pizza truck to cater lunch for us on Staff Development Day. This generous gesture is their way of thanking all CGHS staff for the commitment and hard work you’ve shown throughout 2025.
A big thank you to our P&C for looking after us – because if there’s one thing teachers love almost as much as shaping young minds, it’s a slice (or three) of wood-fired pizza!
