The child should remain home with a temperature of 100.0 or greater. The child may return to school after being fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medicine, such as Tylenol or ibuprofen. https://kidshealth.org/en/parents/fever.html
A child with 2 or more episodes of diarrhea and/or vomiting should stay at home and only return to school after being symptom free for 24 hours. https://health.clevelandclinic.org/brat-diet/
If eye discharge or crusting is present, student should remain home and they should be seen by their primary care provider for diagnosis. If determined to be pink eye and placed on antibiotics, the student should remain home for 24 hours. If the eye is just red and no drainage is present and there are no other symptoms, the student may be in attendance.
The child should be kept home, treated with antibiotics, and may return 24 hours after the antibiotics have taken effect.
The child should be kept home until their hair is treated and there is no evidence of live lice.

Diptheria, tetanus, pertussis (DTap) : Five doses but if the 4th dose was given after the 4th birthday, a 5th dose is not required.

Ohio Department of Health Hearing Screening Guidelines
School-aged students shall be screened at six grade levels: Kindergarten, first, third, fifth, ninth and eleventh grades.
Ohio Department of Health Vision Screening Guidelines
School-aged students shall be screened at seven grade levels: Kindergarten, first, third, fifth, seventh, ninth and eleventh grades.
Students should bring or wear their glasses and/or contact lenses as they are screened wearing them. Students who have difficulty with the initial screening are re-screened. If there still appears to be a difficulty, parents are notified and follow-up by a health care provider is suggested. I will also screen students at any time based on parent, student or staff request. If you do not wish for your child to be screened, please contact your school health office.
