The Edon Northwest Local School District is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of School Nurse for the 2026-2027 school year. School Nursing is a specialized practice of professional nursing that advances the well-being, academic success, and health of students.
The contract is for 7 hours per day for 186 days. Salary is per established salary schedule and adjusted for individual experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Current State of Ohio Registered Nurse license
Must obtain Ohio State Board of Education pupil services license for school nurse upon hire
Current BCI/FBI background check
Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification
Bachelors of Nursing preferred but not required
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Treat students when present, and respond to emergencies during school hours/school sponsored events
Obtain and administer care plan for students with ongoing conditions
Provide timely parent communication related to medical forms and student health related concerns
Administer scheduled and emergency medications
Consult with teachers and school administrators regarding student care and medical needs
Prepare care plans, scheduled and emergency medications for students for school sponsored events off school premises
Conduct screenings as required by The State of Ohio such as vision and hearing
