2nd Shift Custodian

Essential Duties:

• Promote good safety practices and procedures

• Interact in a positive manner with staff, students and parents

• Sweeps, mops, and waxes resilient and non-resilient flooring

• Vacuums and cleans carpets

• Dusts and polishes furniture, woodwork, and metal work

• Empties and cleans waste and recycling receptacles

• Cleans mirrors and glass in windows, doors and display cases

• Cleans and disinfects surfaces and fixtures in restrooms, kitchens, classrooms and hallways

• Completes routine records such as work orders

• Sets up and transports audiovisual, tables, chairs and other equipment for meetings or other events using written diagrams to various locations

• Maintain and perform minor repairs and adjustments to assigned equipment

• Secures the Districts building and facilities by turning off the lights, locking the doors and windows, and setting the alarm system

• Demonstrates proper cleaning procedures and techniques to other employees as assigned

• Closes and secures areas for special events and activities as assigned

• Performs related work as required

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

• One to two years related experience preferred

• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and/or Board of Education may find appropriate

Regular Route Bus Driver (AM & PM)

Edon Northwest Local School District is seeking a Regular Route Bus to serve the District .   Starting pay is $25.55/hour+ as determined by prior experience.  Interested candidates should complete an online version of the Classified Application, located below., as well as send a letter of interest and resume to Superintendent Anthony Stevens by email at astevens@edon-nw.org. 

Essential Functions:

• Ensure safety of students

• Transport students safely and efficiently to and from school and school related events

• Follow assigned bus routes and schedules

• Maintain required records and information

• Report any mechanical problems to the bus mechanic/supervisor

• Keep assigned vehicle neat and clean

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge and awareness of changes in driving laws as they apply to transporting school children

• Obey all traffic laws

• Observe all mandatory safety regulations for school buses

• Maintain pupil control and report any violations to the proper authorities as prescribed

Qualifications:

• Possess appropriate state of Ohio certification/license, or ability/willingness to obtain licensure

• Possess State of Ohio Class B commercial driver’s license with S and P endorsements, or ability/willingness to obtain licensure

• High school diploma or equivalent required

Substitute/Event Bus Drivers
