UC SSC Lake Ginninderra will not have a formal timetable of classes while students are learning online.
Teachers will post work weekly, so it will be important students establish their own ‘daily routine’ that will work best for them.
Creating your own routine is important - not just for your study, but for your own wellbeing. You may need to ‘trial’ and adapt your routine to find an approach that will work for you.
Be practical
Don’t overcommit yourself
Adapt your routine if it is not working for you
Consider your daily commitments and negotiate with those in your household (access to the internet, use of space & computers)
Check Google Classroom and your emails every day
Make sure that you have regular breaks
Look away from your screen
Embed some exercise into your daily routine
These approaches have been effective for students who have studied online through UC SSC Lake Ginninderra.
Below are two examples of routines that you could adapt when designing your own routine.
Example 1: Variety
The student’s daily routine was focused around variety. They assigned parts of days to particular classes throughout the work. This student felt that the variety helped them engage.
Example 2: One subject per day
The student’s daily routine was focused around completing the week’s worth of content for one class at a time. They assigned particular days to their classes. So Monday may be the day they complete all their Maths work, and then on Tuesday, they focused on English.
