Phase 1 - Selecting the topic and research question

Tasks

• Decide on two or three global issues that you are interested in writing your essay on

• If you are struggling for inspiration click here

• Do some preliminary research on each to narrow your choice down to one global issue

• Identify the global theme that your issue comes under

• Identify a local manifestation of the global issue

• Identify the main subject that you will be using for your essay - In your IB EE, you would have to identify two subjects.

• Develop your title and research question

• Add your research question to managebac

• Arrange and have a meeting with your supervisor

• After the meeting, complete the first reflection on managebac

• Deadline for completing phase 1 P9 Monday 22nd May 2023
