The title page should include only the following information:
• Your student code
• Your research question
• the subject for which the essay is registered
if it is a language essay also state which category it falls into
Category 1 Studies of one or more literary works originally written in the language in which the essay is presented
Category 2 Studies of a literary work or works originally written in the language of the essay compared with one or more literary works originally written in another language. (The work originally written in another language may be studied in translation.)
Category 3 Studies in language based on one or more texts originally produced in the language in which the essay is presented. Texts can be compared with a translatedtext originally written in another language.
If it is an Interdisciplinary essay
State the two DP subjects the essay relates to and the interdisciplinary framework it connects with

Culture, Language, and Identity: Art and identity (Literature/Theatre), Politics of identity (Global Politics/Sociology).

If footnotes have been used for anything other than referencing, the word count stated on the title page must include these footnotes, with an explicit statement that "the stated word count includes explanatory footnotes".
The title of your essay should be a clear, focused summative statement of your research, which gives the reader an indication of your research topic. It should not be phrased as a research question.
