Benjamin Hlavaty's Legacy: EATS Members' Publication Survey 2004-2016

EATS launched a research project in 2014 to investigate and compile a comprehensive list of formal publications as a result of EATS annual conferences from 2004 to present. Mr Benjamin Hlavaty was appointed as a research assistant to work on the project. Benjamin received a Master’s in Taiwan Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London in 2007 and is currently a PhD candidate at International Taiwan Studies Center, Graduate Institute of Taiwan Culture, Language and Literature, National Taiwan Normal University.

Benjamin’s responsibility includes:

  1. Establishing a list of all papers presented at EATS annual conferences from 2004 to present
  2. Conducting a digital search for official publications (i.e. publications in academic journals and/or books) which are linked to papers presented at EATS annual conferences
  3. Contacting all paper-presenters to verify the outcome of their papers and obtaining relevant bibliographical details
  4. Compiling a comprehensive list of the official publications as a result of EATS annual conferences. The list should include relevant bibliographical details and where possible a link to the individual publication for future reference
