International Journal of Taiwan Studies Vol 2

The first issue includes research articles on Wang Chia-hsiang's historical fantasy, the theorisation of Taiwan's indigenous and Han populations, Fan Yuanyan's defection in 1977, political communication, female electoral success, the identity of Vietnamese spouses, and a report on the Third World Congress of Taiwan Studies as well as a number of book reviews.

The second issue includes researches on Taiwanese subcontractors, the impact of authoritarian legacy and the China Factor on Taiwan's democracy, the roles of cyberpower, human rights and democracy in Taiwan's external relations, same-sex marriage, indigenous languages and the Dutch colonialism as well as a number of book reviews.
