Roles and Permissions provide the ability to create and manage roles. Each user is assigned a role within e-PayDay Go®, which defines their permissions.
You can restrict a Role to access only specific Menu Items and limit the functionality within that section. For example, you can configure a role that restricts the user to only generating reports, enabling them to process or analyse data while keeping other functionalities, such as processing a pay run, off-limits. This tailored approach ensures that users have the appropriate level of access to perform their tasks effectively and securely.
Create new role is available to users on the Advanced Plan and enables you to add a new role.
Filter Permissions enables you to limit the roles displayed in the Roles and Permissions list based on the permissions chosen.
Refresh can be selected to update the Roles and Permissions Table
The Roles and Permissions Table lists each System Default and User Defined Roles. We have provided five System Default Roles, three of which can be edited,

The Actions Button allows you to Edit, View, Delete (opens the Role Window) or Set as Default.
Showing X to X of X entries. Show X entries allows you to select how many Users you would like displayed per page.
Pagination Controls allows you to navigate between the pages of Users.
The Role Window is displayed when creating, editing or viewing a role, and contains two sections, Role Details and Permissions
Role Details displays the name and default setting for the role chosen.
Role Name displays the name set for the role you add, edit, or view.
Default indicates if the chosen Role is the default for all new users
The Permissions Tree displays the sections within e-PayDay Go that the user can access. We will refine these settings by enhancing this functionality over several future releases.
The Manager Role provides users access to all features and functionality except Audit Logs, Subscription and Users (specifically changing the role and password for Tenant Users and the password for ClockMeIn (EPSS) users) within Administration.
The Subscription Manager Role provides users access to Subscription only.
The Super Administrator Role is assigned to the user who created the Tenant and provides complete access to all features and functionality within e-PayDay Go.
The User Role provides users access to all features and functionality except Adminisitation and Paid By within Application Settings.
The messages below are displayed when specific actions are performed within e-PayDay Go.
The Permissions Changed Warning Message is displayed when Save is chosen if the Role is assigned to a user and the settings within Permissions have changed.
The Unsaved Changes Warning Message is displayed when Close is chosen if details have changed within the Role Window since the last time Save was selected.
The Change Default Role Information Message is displayed when Set as Default is chosen from the Actions Menu. If Acknowledge is selected, the Role is set as the default for all new e-PayDay Go Tenant users.
The Change Default Role Warning Message is displayed when Delete is chosen from the Actions Menu. If Acknowledge is selected, the Delete Role Confirmation Warning Message is displayed.
The Change Default Role Warning Message is displayed when Delete is chosen from the Actions Menu. If Acknowledge is selected, the Role is deleted and cannot be restored.
