The DYMUN event was a knowledgeable and overall memorable event for those who took part in it, allowing for all to grapple with complex and thought provoking issues that have global significance, whether it was as the organising committee, or as delegates. The event involved different committees each assigned with two or three OC members. The organising committee was also divided into several other teams such as IT, content, hospitality, etc. The IT team was responsible for the production of the invite as well as the certificates. Those of us in the IT team most certainly had a multitude of challenges keeping up with deadlines for our projects, but it was one they were undoubtedly willing to endure.
The IT team was responsible for the production of the invite as well as the certificates. Those of us in the IT team most certainly had a multitude of challenges keeping up with deadlines for our projects, but it was one they were undoubtedly willing to endure. The content team started before anybody knew about the MUN. They planned out everything so that everything would be just perfect for everyone. The organising team had to put in the work while the event was going on. They provided their service to make sure each and every delegate was comfortable in the event.
The logistics team made and organised the specific placards for each of the participants as well as helped plan the total budget for the whole event. They had help from the teachers as well, to also buy everything needed for the MUN. They had also planned how the entrance would look, and made it the best they could have done.
The social media team helped much with making the invites for the MUN. If they wouldn’t have done their part, nobody would even show up to the MUN!! They helped with all the invitations as well as making several reels to advertise the event to others. This helped increase the number of people who could participate not just from our school, but also other local schools which made the event even more memorable!
The hospitality team had some struggles in managing the huge crowd. They had to manage each and every person’s needs, guide them along their teams as well as help with setting up the event. The content team helped scheme the whole event into place, planning each and every class and how it would look, as well as planning each and every possible thing needed in order to carry out the event. In addition, some of the students taught fifth graders on the MUN procedures, including everything that happens there. They even went as far as taking extra classes for kids on the topic!!!
Testimony
"My time as part of the hospitality team in the MUN event Organising Committee was an incredible learning experience. From managing guest experience to coordinating with other various teams and higher authorities for the event, every aspect taught me a valuable lesson in teamwork and problem-solving. I took on various responsibilities, including ensuring the smooth flow of guests, overseeing the decor setup, and handling any last-minute requests with promptness and efficiency. Overall, my experience in the hospitality team not only enriched my understanding of event management but also provided me with unforgettable memories and a sense of accomplishment."
