Special Education

Programs in the Special Education department are designed to meet the individual needs of students. The Special Education Department consists of a TEAM Chairperson, school psychologist, school adjustment counselor, speech pathologist, occupational therapist, physical therapist, reading specialist, special education teachers and paraeducators. Special Education Services are provided within the full, partial and substantially separate settings depending on individualized student needs. For questions regarding special education eligibility, services, or programing, please contact the special education office.

In addition to learning the curriculum, students will work to acquire the skills to be independent, life-long learners.  Students are encouraged to develop a positive attitude toward learning. To monitor this progress, students are expected to attend class regularly, bring necessary materials, demonstrate respectful behavior, accept responsibility, and actively participate in their classes.
