Theme: "From Bondage to Grace: The Christian Journey of Freedom"
Illustrating the transformation that takes place when one encounters God's grace and embraces the freedom found in Christ.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
● The competition shall be conducted as a group event representing the respective houses.
● Each house shall be permitted to submit only one Photo Story.
● The Photo Story shall strictly adhere to the prescribed theme.
● Participants shall submit 5 photographs arranged in a meaningful sequence to narrate a complete story.
● All photographs shall be captured and submitted in vertical format (9:16 aspect ratio).
● The story shall be communicated primarily through the sequence of photographs and their visual progression.
● A brief explanatory note of 100–150 words shall accompany the submission, explaining the storyline and its relevance to the theme.
● All photographs must be original and captured by the participants.
● Participants may use models, staged scenes, or real-life situations to communicate the intended message.
● Basic editing such as cropping, brightness adjustment, contrast correction, colour balancing, and exposure correction is permitted.
● Excessive manipulation that alters the authenticity of the photograph is not permitted.
● Downloaded images, stock photographs, copyrighted images, screenshots, or AI-generated images shall not be accepted.
● No text, captions, quotations, Bible verses, watermarks, logos, dates, stickers, emojis, or graphic overlays shall be placed on any photograph.
● The photographs shall be arranged in a logical sequence with a clear beginning, development, and conclusion.
● Participants shall obtain the consent of all persons appearing in the photographs.
● The Photo Story shall promote Christian values and uphold the dignity of individuals portrayed in the images.
● Entries containing offensive, vulgar, discriminatory, political, defamatory, or inappropriate content shall be disqualified.
● All photographs shall be submitted in high-resolution JPEG format.
● Entries submitted after the prescribed deadline shall not be considered.
● The organizing committee reserves the right to reject any entry that does not comply with the competition guidelines.
● The decision of the judges and organizing committee shall be final and binding.
SUBMISSION DETAILS
● The Photo Story shall be submitted through email to the Official DVK LCA Email ID: lca@dvk.in.
● Each photograph shall be submitted as a separate image file in JPEG format.
● The photographs shall be arranged and named according to their sequence in the story.
● The file naming format shall be:
HouseName_SequenceNumber
Ex: Blue_01, Blue_02, Blue_03, Blue_04, Blue_05
● The accompanying 100–150 words description shall be submitted as a separate document in PDF format.
● The subject line of the email shall be:
Photo Story Competition – House Name
Example: Photo Story Competition – Blue Blazers
● All photographs and the description document shall be attached in a single email.
● Participants shall ensure that the photographs are submitted in the correct sequence to preserve the intended narrative flow.
● Incomplete submissions or incorrectly named files may be subject to penalty or rejection.
● The organizing committee shall not be responsible for submissions delayed due to technical issues after the deadline.
JUDGEMENT CRITERIA
Theme Interpretation and Relevance – 25 Marks
Judges will evaluate how effectively the photographs reflect the theme "From Bondage to Grace: The Christian Journey of Freedom" and communicate its spiritual message.
Creativity and Originality – 25 Marks
Judges will assess the uniqueness of the concept, visual approach, and innovative presentation of the story.
Narrative Coherence and Storytelling – 20 Marks
Judges will evaluate how clearly and logically the sequence of photographs communicates a complete and engaging story.
Composition and Technical Quality – 15 Marks
Judges will assess the overall photographic quality, including framing, lighting, focus, perspective, and visual composition.
Spiritual and Emotional Impact – 15 Marks
Judges will evaluate the ability of the photo story to inspire reflection, convey Christian values, and create a lasting emotional impression on the viewer.
