Theme: "The Face of Christ in the World Today"

Theme Description

Participants are invited to portray how Christ is encountered in contemporary society through acts of love, service, compassion, justice, healing, sacrifice, and hope. The artwork should creatively express the presence of Christ in individuals, communities, and situations that reveal God's love in today's world.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

● Only three participants from each house shall be permitted to participate in the competition.

● The competition shall be conducted as an individual event.

● Participants shall paint on the face of another person (model) brought by them for the competition.

● The participant and the model must belong to the same house/group.

● Only one model shall be permitted per participant.

● The artwork shall be completed within 60 minutes.

● The artwork shall be restricted strictly to the face and neck of the model.

● Painting on the hands, arms, shoulders, clothing, hair, or any other part of the body shall not be permitted.

● Participants shall arrange and bring all required materials and equipment.

● Only cosmetic-grade and skin-safe face paints shall be used.

● The artwork shall strictly adhere to the prescribed theme: "The Face of Christ in the World Today."

● Pre-painted designs, printed templates, stickers, masks, or ready-made artistic materials shall not be used.

● Participants shall complete all artistic work independently without assistance from others.

● The model shall not assist the participant in any manner during the competition.

● Offensive, vulgar, political, discriminatory, or inappropriate content shall result in immediate disqualification.

● Participants shall maintain cleanliness and ensure the comfort and safety of their model throughout the competition.

● The completed artwork shall remain intact until the judging process is completed.

● Any violation of the competition rules may result in penalty or disqualification.

● The decision of the judges shall be final and binding.

JUDGEMENT CRITERIA

Relevance to the Theme – 25 Marks

Judges will evaluate how effectively the artwork portrays the theme "The Face of Christ in the World Today" and communicates Christian values, spirituality, and the presence of Christ in contemporary society.

Creativity and Originality – 25 Marks

Judges will assess the uniqueness of the concept, imaginative interpretation of the theme, and the participant's ability to present an original and meaningful artistic vision.

Artistic Skill and Technique – 20 Marks

Judges will evaluate the quality of execution, including precision, detailing, blending, brushwork, control of materials, and overall technical proficiency in face painting.

Colour Harmony and Visual Impact – 15 Marks

Judges will assess the effective use of colours, contrast, balance, and visual appeal, as well as the ability of the artwork to attract attention and create a strong impression.

Overall Presentation – 15 Marks

Judges will evaluate the completeness, neatness, professionalism, and overall effectiveness of the artwork in conveying the intended message through the face and neck design.
