Viking Awards are given out annually to students that work hard, achieve goals, demonstrate exemplar behavior, and positively contribute to their classes. All grade levels are eligible to receive Viking Award recognition including the Viking Statue, Viking Medallion, or Viking Pin. While these students have good grades, this isn’t just an award for the student with the highest grade in each class. This award recognizes overall classroom excellence. Only one student in each category wins a Viking Award Statue. We are so proud to recognize over 200 students who have worked so hard to show what it means to be an outstanding Downey High School Viking.
