Downey High Athletes who have achieved a 3.5 cumulative GPA and who have lettered in a Varsity sport are eligible for this award. Freshmen receive $100.00 each. This year, 14 Freshmen Scholar Athletes are recognized - we are so proud to call these students Vikings and so thankful to Dr. Stauffer for recognizing their hard work, dedication, and talent.
