Downey High Athletes who have achieved a 3.5 cumulative GPA and who have lettered in a Varsity sport are eligible for this award. Sophomores receive $100.00 each. This year, 41 Sophomore Scholar Athletes are recognized - we are so proud to call these students Vikings and so thankful to Dr. Stauffer for recognizing their hard work, dedication, and talent. We can't wait to watch these student athletes compete in both the classroom and on the field for the next two years as a Downey Viking!
