University admissions tests

Depending on the university and their offers, you may be required to complete an admissions test. However, even if you are not required to complete an admissions test, if you get a good score on one of the tests then universities may lower their offers . Plus, they are still a good source for challenging questions to stretch your maths skills nonetheless. Likewise, if you only have to complete one of the tests, you will still benefit from looking at the others.

The three main admissions tests are STEP, MAT, and TMUA. Follow the links to information on the individual tests below. You can see information for each of these with the relevant universities on the document at the bottom of the page. Note that this may differ depending on the universities' conditional offer made - please ask your teacher if you are unsure whether you should be completing one of the tests.
