Other sites:

This site is designed to act as a repository of useful resources and notes to run alongside your courses. You may find it beneficial to supplement your studies further through any of the excellent websites below (be aware that many of the resources are based on the old specification - read the specification on the course page or check with your teacher if you are unsure which topics you should be revising). Just follow the links below to start exploring:

TLMaths

A website based on the new specification - all content is fully up to date!

A video-based website chock-full of explanations and worked examples. I have linked to relevant video playlists throughout the VLE topic pages, but you may prefer to delve straight into the original source if you enjoy this way of learning/revising.

Nagwa

Another new specification video-based website.

This one builds the videos around the course textbooks, plus includes some additional worksheets. Follow links below for the relevant sections of the website:

[It also includes A-level Chemistry and Physics, if you are that way inclined...]

Physics & Maths Tutor

A personal favourite! No mathematician should do without this one.

Full of past exam papers and mark schemes from every exam board (you are looking particularly at Edexcel, but other boards may give different ways of thinking about many of the same topics). You will also find extra questions split by topic, in order to focus your revision. A lot of the site is based on the old specification so ask your teachers if you are unsure where to look.

MadAsMaths

You can never say you don't have any maths work to do. Hundreds of extra practice and exam-style questions for every topic under the sun, complete with worked solutions. This one is particularly good for extension questions.

Just Google the name of the website and the topic you are interested in if you can't find what you are looking for.

Exam Solutions

An excellent video-based revision/tutorial website - one for the visual learner.

A very useful resource with video worked solutions for lots of past exam questions – handy if you get completely stuck on an exam question or can’t quite follow the mark scheme. There are also extra videos to extend your learning further or just to recap the basics.

Hegarty Maths

Another video-based website.

This one has lots of standalone lessons if you need a refresher on a complete topic. You’ll need to log in to use the website (it’s free to register) or you can find the resources on YouTube.

GeoGebra / Desmos

Where would mathematicians be without a good picture?

Two useful graphing softwares (both free) so you can have a play around with some graphs to explore the maths you’re learning a bit further. It’s often useful to have a visual representation of any problem you’re attempting.

You can also download them as apps on your phone!
