Welcome to the A Level Maths homepage!

Use the links below to find the topic area you're looking for, or see below for other useful documents for the course. Enjoy your stay!

Useful documents:

Formulae booklet

Large data set (Statistics)

AS Mathematics specification - The material covered in Year 1.

A Level Mathematics specification - The material covered over two years (Year 1 material shown in bold).

Textbooks:

Please find digital copies of textbooks for the new specification on the topic homepages (see list above under 'Topic area'). They contain extra notes and exercises on individual topic sections, as well as numerical answers at the end of each document. All of this material is relevant to the new specification, with Year 1 and 2 material shown in the contents pages. They are very useful!

You will also find digital copies of relevant textbooks from the old specification on the topic homepages. They will provide a good starting point for extra worked examples and practice questions, but be aware that there is not a perfect crossover with the new specification! Read the specification document above or check with your teacher if you are unsure which topics you should be revising - you will be completing the Edexcel A Level Maths specification at the end of two years.

If you would like your own, you can purchase textbooks for the new specification through the links below:

Calculators:

You will be required to purchase the Casio FX-991EX Classwiz calculator shown in order to complete the A Level Maths specification. This can be purchased via the school for a discount.

Videos on calculator usage can be found here. These are also signposted again on the individual contents pages for the pure, mechanics and statistics components. An additional PowerPoint guide on using the Casio FX-991EX Classwiz calculator can also be found here.

Note: This calculator is also a requirement for A Level Further Maths.

You can find the programme of study below for the order of the lessons throughout the year - this may be adapted at times to suit the needs of the class. Hover over the document then click the arrow button in the top-right corner to view in full.
